case study deep dive: Content hub
dynamically filtered content aggregation hub
CHALLENGE
To redevelop our Client's existing digital services website in order to promote our Client's digital capabilities in a more contemporary and engaging way.
APPROACH
As with all our development initiatives, we use a user-based discovery process to better define the problem and deliver a more realistic, user-based solution . This covered: User definition and persona creation, capturing both the business and user needs, identifying those ares where both intersected.
In parallel we also undertook a content programme review to look at the Client's approach to content creation, content formats and their desire to push content across the web without the need for paid activity.
SOLUTION
We then prototyped those requirements into a dynamic 'as live' wireframe enabling prototyping as we went. Upon completion of that phase, we developed an innovative tagging and filtering system for multiple searches, in order to provide the user with intuitive search capabilities.
We also provided a content roadmap, shifting the focus from long, copy intensive content to promotion of content via authors and contributors leverage their own social presence (or in some instances creating one). In support of the platform, we also produced multiple content pieces across multiple formats including: infographics, moving image, animation and photography.
POST DELIVERY
Due to the success of the project we were able to white label the solution and have been able to leverage the thinking and code-set for new Clients.
